To demonstrate the technique, its proper use, and the main advantages and disadvantages of the titanium plate in patients who have undergone several septal reconstruction procedures, and thus require additional support methods.
Methods
The study consists of five case reports of septal reconstruction in patients who have already been submitted to several septal reconstruction procedures and who require additional support methods, during a period of three years.
Results
In the five subjects evaluated during these three years, the use of the titanium plate as an alternative septal reconstructive procedure has shown no side effects, rejection, nor any other clinical disadvantage.
Conclusions
The titamium plate has proven to be an adequate and alternative method of septal recononstruction in patients who have undergone several previous septal procedures and require addional grafting.
